Strange Likes and Dislikes
I'm an odd person. I'm not afraid to admit that. The thing is you don't really know me. So I'm going to tell you about my top 10 weird likes and dislikes:
- Dilating Pupils - they're freaking amazing. They fascinate me. I have a bad habit of flashing lights into my eyes just to make them dilate. Why? because I can.
- Moths - they freak me out. Why? because I was attacked by one when I was 10. It tried to go up my nose... I had to smack it out of my nostril.
- Scars - I don't know why but I find them very fascinating and can be quite becoming on certain people.
- Seat Belt on Winter Jacket - I HATE IT! The sound and feeling irks me from the inside out.
- I hate the cool palets of colors. I'm a warm tone kind of gal. (Yes, I have watched to many home reno shows.)
- I hate Cherios. I ate A LOT of Cherios as a kid and now have intolerance to them.
- I absolutely love weird artistic paintings and sculptures and all things weird.
- I love designing houses on TS3. It's lovely. I officially know what my dream house consists of.
- I have an interesting interest in injuries. Most people get freaked out when I talk about them. It makes sense with my future goal to become a paramedic though.
- And last but not least, I love shy people. They intrigue me and I always want to know more about them. Closed books are meant to be read.
A clever but odd sculpture. |
A Clique Within a Clique?
So as you probably know, high school is made up of cliques. Now my particular clique is beautiful. I absolutely love them. However I changed schools for a year and when I came back I was intrigued by how our group had formed little cliques within the clique. So I've decided to speak about the different things I've noticed about cliques.
- Each and every one of them has their own mannerism. For example, there could be a group of eccentric students that are always screaming.
- Cliques have inner circles and outer circles. The outer circles often connect to other cliques.
- Most of the time all cliques will hate on the other cliques. But of course not always!
- No matter where you go there are cliques.

I wish...
Today's rant will be about all the things I sometimes wish I could do or have.
1. I wish I could read people's minds.
The most substantial wish I believe I will ever have is that I could bring happiness into as many people's lives as I possibly can.
1. I wish I could read people's minds.
- Then I think... Do I really want to know what people are thinking about me or about anything? The answer is always no.
- Then I think.... Do I really want to steal away the excitement of finding out? The answer is always no.
- Then I think.... Why would I want to be someone else when there's so much in my current life that I could enjoy?
- And there is never a second thought about that.
The most substantial wish I believe I will ever have is that I could bring happiness into as many people's lives as I possibly can.

Girl Tips
Today's blog is going to be focusing on some lady tips I've learned in the past month.
Natural Pore Strips:
Pore strips can be pretty expensive and made of harsh chemicals. But what if you could use a natural pore strip? Well I've got one here for you:
Ingredients:
Package of Plain Gelatin
Tablespoon of Milk
Step 1: Mix ingredients in a bowl that you can fit over a small pot.
Step 2: Boil water on stove until it's simmering but not to a full boil.
Step 3: Place bowl over top of the pot. Make sure the bowl IS NOT TOUCHING THE WATER!
Step 4: Stir ingredeitns with spoon as heated until gluey pasture develops. It should look perfect to smooth on skin.
Step 5: When completed let cool for about 30 seconds.
Step 6: Apply as desired to face using brush, q-tip, you finger, or any desired method.
Step 7: Let substance dry until it hardens and feels tight. You'll know it's ready when it becomes unbearably itchy.
Step 8: PEEEEL!
Step 9: Examine gunk (optional step)
So there you have it! Hope you enjoy your natural pore strips! They work wonders.
Natural Face Scrub:
Speaking of wonders! There's this great natural face scrub I'd like to talk to you about. Super simple!
Ingredients:
Tablespoon (or less) of PLAIN yogurt
3-4 tablets of PLAIN, uncoated aspirin
Step 1: Mix ingredients in bowl
Step 2: Rub gently into face
Step 3: Rinse!
This scrub is super easy to use and does wonders! My pores are always clean because of this awesome method!
Anyways! That's the extent of what I know. Oh! And cucumbers actually are awesome! They don't just use those because they're in the movies! They hydrate your eyes and take away bags! :)
That's my rant of the day! Happy Easter by the way!

Props to Bob and Public Transportation
Once my youth leader, who I will name Bob for this post, decided he was going to talk to strangers on the bus. He had some pretty awkward conversations and scared a few people.
He also said the bravest man in the world was the man who saw a cow and said: hey, you see those things dangling things that's coming from that animal? Yeah those... I'm going to go over there, squeeze them and then drink what comes out.
Bob has also dedicated his life to the youth of my parish. He's always a really hard working guy and even when he, his wife, and his baby girl have the stomach flu, he still thinks of us!
So props to Bob today! :)
The busses were backed up for what seemed like blocks. It was a stuffed bus that day. I felt as though I was suffacating. Me and my friend were bussing to school when we passed through one specific stop. At this stop there are two sides of the station. There's only one crossway and it's a narrow slot between two cement street islands. There was a blind woman who was trying to cross this road but instead of walking through the opening she got stuck at the cement blocker. I was sad but figured she would go back towards the opening. Then, to my horror, she started following the cement the wrong way. I was petrified and sad. I thought for sure she would get hit by a bus! Then out of the corner of my eye I see a full out gansta-boy walk through the opening. He's going full out gansta with the snap back hat, the bling, the baggy pants and sweater. I quickly turned my attention back to the blind girl and felt sad that no one was helping her when to my shock the gansta-boy went over to her and took her arm. He guided her back to the opening and to safety. I almost started to cry I was so happy!
Another great thing about busses is one particular bus driver. Everyday he smiles and says goodmorning to me. Then when people are running to catch the bus, he actually stops the bus infront of where they're running from and lets them on! If you tell him someones running, he'll wait until they reach the bus stop! :) He's the best bus driver EVER!
That's my rant of the day!

"The Hunger Games" or...
* SPOILERS ARE ALL OVER THIS POST SO IF YOU HAVE ISSUES WITH THAT DON'T READ IT*
Today I watched "The Hunger Games" in theaters. I came out feeling content but there are a few points I'd like to address:
Today I watched "The Hunger Games" in theaters. I came out feeling content but there are a few points I'd like to address:
- You don't go through any emotional journeys.
- The scene with the mutts is supposed to be mentally scarring. BECAUSE OF THE EYES. I didn't feel any real intense fear. Peeta was supposed to hold Katniss as she went through hearing Katos being killed SLOWLY. In the movie, she mercy kills him almost instantly! It was pretty frustrating.
2. Not enough time spent on Katniss and Gale
- One of the key points of the novel was to show the inner turmoil that Katniss was feeling. She didn't know how to sort her feelings because she had been so close to Gale and now she felt close to Peeta. The thing is in the movie you didn't see the real closeness of Katniss and Gale.
3. Mr. Camera Man if you can't hold the camera still, THEN DON'T FILM THIS MOVIE.
- I get that they were probably trying to make it 'more age appropriate' by not being able to see the action but let's face it... 10 year olds are watching horror movies, 6 year olds are playing Halo and CoD. What's the point of making a short fight scene blurry if they're already exposed? The whole point of PG is that it's your parents that guide you to the right film. IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE A FIGHT SCENE, DON'T GO SEE THE HUNGER GAMES! The whole idea is gory! *sigh* I was quite frustrated when I wasn't sure if it was Cato or Peeta who was attacking Katniss. They both had blond hair and there was too much blurr.
I must sound like a pessimist but those were the three things that bothered me the most. I do admit that they did the best they could with the amount of time they had. It was a success and I think it's one of the better adaptations from book to movie. The whole idea of having Seneca Crane having to eat the berries was creative and clever.
Well... That's my rant of the day!
