Once my youth leader, who I will name Bob for this post, decided he was going to talk to strangers on the bus. He had some pretty awkward conversations and scared a few people.
He also said the bravest man in the world was the man who saw a cow and said: hey, you see those things dangling things that's coming from that animal? Yeah those... I'm going to go over there, squeeze them and then drink what comes out.
Bob has also dedicated his life to the youth of my parish. He's always a really hard working guy and even when he, his wife, and his baby girl have the stomach flu, he still thinks of us!
So props to Bob today! :)
The busses were backed up for what seemed like blocks. It was a stuffed bus that day. I felt as though I was suffacating. Me and my friend were bussing to school when we passed through one specific stop. At this stop there are two sides of the station. There's only one crossway and it's a narrow slot between two cement street islands. There was a blind woman who was trying to cross this road but instead of walking through the opening she got stuck at the cement blocker. I was sad but figured she would go back towards the opening. Then, to my horror, she started following the cement the wrong way. I was petrified and sad. I thought for sure she would get hit by a bus! Then out of the corner of my eye I see a full out gansta-boy walk through the opening. He's going full out gansta with the snap back hat, the bling, the baggy pants and sweater. I quickly turned my attention back to the blind girl and felt sad that no one was helping her when to my shock the gansta-boy went over to her and took her arm. He guided her back to the opening and to safety. I almost started to cry I was so happy!
Another great thing about busses is one particular bus driver. Everyday he smiles and says goodmorning to me. Then when people are running to catch the bus, he actually stops the bus infront of where they're running from and lets them on! If you tell him someones running, he'll wait until they reach the bus stop! :) He's the best bus driver EVER!
That's my rant of the day!
